Anonymous Art Museum Berlin Ongoing project, 2002-
The Norwegian artist develops site specific projects. In this work the concept is the mass-phenomena, the blockbuster „langen nacht der museen“. Twice a year all the museums in Berlin invite the inhabitants of the capital to a night-event. For 6 to 10 Euros you get a pass to visit all the museums up until 2 am in the morning, including transport between the institutions. Here in Garderobe 23, the artist has installed an exact replica of a specific museum wardrobe, reflecting on the museum as object. The concept offers multiples for sale on internet. Each one is an invitation to join in a performative action, a boomerang, which can interfere and interact in this real Berlin museum.
